Electric Single Phase Motor Winding Machine

Electric motor winding machines which are run from a one period point source of electricity is known as an Electric Single Phase Motor Winding Machine. These machines are majorly used for starting auxiliary winding. Such Electric Single Phase Motor Winding Machine usually does not produce rotating magnetic field of any kind as in other types of winding machines. Rather these machines create a pulsating field. These single phase motors usually develop a torque when the rotor of this motor starts rotating at a different speed than the usual synchronous speed. Of this, the majority of the torque would be achieved at a point when the forward rotating phase reaches a point of ten percent slip exactly. Such high rotating torque at the starting is a highly efficient option for various situations and thus usually enjoys quite a high demand for its various applications.

In case an application requires high torque at the very starting, then such Electric Single Phase Motor Winding Machine with single period induction would be the perfect choice. These single periods’ induction motors use a capacitor. This capacitor is synchronized with the auxiliary winding which would help to start the motor winding machine. Once the machine achieves the requisite speed, the capacitor would be turned off by a centrifugal switch. This gives the motor an additional strength and power which helps in the formation of the auxiliary winding in heavier winding as compared to other normal motors. This helps in achieving higher torques in case of machines which are powering at higher loads such as compressors of air conditioners.

Other than Electric Single Phase Motor Winding Machine, induction motors run on capacitors are another option for achieving high torque at the starting. Machines using capacitor run motors generally use these two types of capacitors: 

Large capacitor which provides high torque at the starting, or
Small capacitor which is used for normal operations and functioning of the machine



Both these capacitors ensure efficient running capacity and functions of the machine while providing high power and speed from the very start of the machine. Both these capacitors are used together in machines which are not only large but also require more complex construction.

When Electric Single Phase Motor Winding Machine is compared to Resistance Split Induction Supply Machine, the later merely supplies a moderate starting torque as compared to the former which supplies high starting torque. Therefore the resistance split induction supply motors have restricted applications and are used only where required. The resistance split induction supply motors have smaller auxiliary winding which produces lower induction and higher resistance as compared to Electric Single Phase Motor Winding Machine. These motors can thus be used only where load is small and the starting drive required to initiate the machine is lower. Grinders and fans are examples of machines which do not require high starting torque. 


Higher the starting torque, higher is the load which the machine can handle, and high power winding motor performance is absolutely must in such heavy machines. Single Phase Electric Motor Winding Machine is costlier than the simpler versions of split motors, but every machine and motor has to be efficiently and effectively used as per their specifications in terms of power, energy, performance, and application in order to get the optimum results.
